Monasterio de las Viñas Old Vine Garnacha

Incredibly underrated

Drank blind. Surprisingly intense primaries, with pronounced stewed raspberry and strawberry syrup. Blackberry, hints of cedar, pepper and smoke want you to dig into it and look for more. Tannins are low and refined. The mid+ acidity keeps up with the fruits intensity and maintaines the freshness. Very clear nose and palate, with long strawberry/rasperry jam feel (2+min). Good aging potential, given the intensity and structure which will eventually improve an already rich, elegant wine.

Complejo y largo. Muchos matices de fruta roja, confitura y hierbas. Divertido y buena relación calidad precio. Repetiré sin dudarlo.
